Dr Vrushali Raut has skilfully blended her passion with her profession and evolved as a multiple skills holder in human resource domain. She is trained organizational psychologist having natural ability to connect with people from various walks of life. She is highly energetic but equally empathetic professional.
Her PhD revolves around wellbeing of IT professionals. In Pune city alone, due to this rapid IT industrialization over the last two decades, there has been a significant dip in overall well-being of professionals. Lack of overall health and physical activity, growing culture of consumerism, relationship troubles, marital disputes, higher divorce rates, and lack of mental concentration and calmness, are all at an alarmingly high level. Working in the Pune IT industry for a long time influenced her to take this topic for her research and during the course she has studied myriad aspects leading to troubled lives and lifestyles. She also studied the impact that profession and gender have in defining the response/ reaction of mind and body to certain pressures. She was keen to find out the effect of occupational stress on the well-being of IT professionals and has been able to demonstrate how emotional competence is useful for tackling stress and enhance well-being
She has been a significant contributor for mental health in the workplace in India. Her recent book on mental health of workers in India “कामगाराांचे मानसिक आरोग्य” is a meticulously crafted document based on scientific research which is being widely accepted across all levels.
She is one of the very few Organizational psychologists in India with diverse experience in human resource development & Organizational psychology who has been working with Indian IT industry over 15+ years.
Her work experience includes employee engagement, employee wellness, training & development, retention, and talent Acquisition (predominantly lateral).
Her extensive professional experience with companies like ThoughtWorks, Siemens includes entire life cycle of employees from hiring, training & development, performance management, employee wellness, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, Behaviour assessment and grievance handling.
She enjoys exploring life through her hobbies including dance, travel, photography, sport, writing & reading. Additional academic qualifications/certifications include master’s in business administration – Human Resources and PhD in Organizational Psychology.
